Adding a Custom Spray to Source

Postby Psydane on Sun Aug 17, 2008 7:18 pm

1. Download or create your own spray

2. Next take your image (make sure it is a .jpeg or .bmp) and use this handy tool to convert it http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?c=178 Also name of the file doesn't matter.

3. Now here comes the tricky part, take your .vtf file and put it in "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\YourSteamLogonName\team fortress 2\tf\materials\VGUI\logos". Make sure you use the correct directory for whichever game you are using such as Counter-Strike Source/cstrike or Tf2 as above.

4. Last step! To complete your new spray addition, start Tf2 (Or corresponding Source game) and go to Options->Multiplayer and click import spray. Just browse to your .vtf file and you are done!
